News Desk TVS Team
Every story published on The Voice of Sikkim carries the News Desk TVS byline — but behind that single name is a working newsroom of reporters, contributors, and editors covering Sikkim, the Northeast, and national stories from the ground up.
We’ve been doing this since 2002, before most digital newsrooms existed in this region. That history shapes how we work: we report from where the story is, we verify before we publish, and we’d rather be right than first.
How We Report
Stories at TVS go through a standard process before publishing — sourcing from official statements, press briefings, on-ground reporting, and verified press releases, followed by an editorial check for accuracy and context. Where a story involves an ongoing case, government action, or public dispute, we update it as facts develop rather than leaving it static.
What We Cover
Politics & Governance
Tourism & Culture
Economy & Business
Sports
Crime & Courts
Environment & Infrastructure
Northeast India & National News
Accountability
We publish under a shared desk byline because the editorial process — not any one individual — is what stands behind each story. If you spot an error, you can reach us directly at info[at]voiceofsikkim.com and we’ll correct it. Our full editorial standards are laid out in our Code of Ethics.
