Gyalshing , 26 March : Gyalsing Police has arrested two luxury vehicle drivers viz. Man Bahadur Thapa, 32 years, r/o-Tinzerbong, Gyalshing and Deepak Chettri, 31 years, r/o-Samdong when the police search team found them in possession of contraband substances.
Today at around 0930 hrs a Xylo vehicle bearing registration No- SK01Z-1208 (Xylo) driven by alleged Deepak Chettri had met with an accident at Pecka near car wash along the Darap-Pelling Highway. He was also accompanied by his friend Man Bahadur Thapa who is the driver of Xylo vehicle bearing regd No-SK02Z-0323. Both the drivers were in an inebriated condition seemingly under the influence of some intoxicating substances. On suspicion, the body search of both the suspect drivers were conducted wherein a total of 145 nos of loose of Spasmo Proxyvon capsules were recovered from their body and vehicle. Accordingly a case under relevant sections of SADA Act have been registered and both the alleged drivers are arrested. One of the vehicles where the contraband substances were recovered is also seized. The case is under investigation.
